A while ago I designed, and 3D-printed, a G-scale DHR NDM6 diesel locomotive for a friend.Original: My 3D-model:After seeing the finalized locomotive, I felt I had to share this model with the world. Wow !!!Excellent work, Dick ! To drive this train, a USA Trains R22-115 Replacement Motor Truck is used. These drives have proven to run well, also at very low speeds.You can use the power-pick-ups to run on powered rails. The model is also very suitable to be powered by batteries. Inside the engine cover there is plenty of room to fit the required electronics (i.e. ESC, decoder, RC-receiver, LiPo-battery, etc).A piece of metal mesh is used to imitate the radiator. It slides in the provided slot. The doors are mounted to the cabin with M2 screws. All other parts are assembled using M3's. (threads are already modelled)The controls-desk fits in the cabin. (fit 2 handwheels)Use brass wire or filament as handrails. Glue them in the provided holes.
