Darex Drill M5 Sharpener Assembly
thingiverse
For use with Darex Drill Sharpener. Instead of Jaw design like original that the Darex unit comes with, I was able to repurpose a multi collet design to make a whole assembly that, can be used. The Bit Gets loaded into the main collet assembly and that slides into the main housing. You then align the bit using the same method as normal and lock the collet assembly in place by screwing in the housing cap. Align the Cam up, and you should be good . I used this a few times already and it worked out well. As the collets wear down over time you can just re-print them. The collets are the only part that touches the bit. Inside collet assembly requires 2 Collets one for front one of for back to hold long bits stable and aligned. Short drill bits may only touch the front collet --FYI My first posted design. be gentle :) Based the internal design using collets from design. You can print the collets from this post. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3177276 NOTE: you need to print 2 collets of each size, for long bits. If you need the straps someone already created them https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4735491#Summary
