Daphnis
myminifactory
Daphnis, a Roman replica from late 2nd century BC Italy, stands out as a masterpiece in the Musée du Cinquantenaire's collection in Brussels, Belgium. Crafted with precision using ReCap and ReMake software from AutoDesk, this marble statue originally formed part of an iconic group featuring Pan, the god, seated beside Daphnis, a young shepherd. With skillful hands, Pan teaches Daphnis how to play his flute, a lesson that has been immortalized in art for centuries. Heliodorus of Rhodes is credited with creating this beautiful piece, although the modern head that tops the statue hints at later restoration efforts.
