Dante's Inferno crucifix
pinshape
This is the model of the crucifix that Dante uses as a weapon in the game Dante's Inferno. The model measures approximately 33cm long and 21cm wide, I designed it myself and then broke it down into manageable pieces for easy printing and assembly. It can be printed either horizontally or vertically, as explained below. Print and Assembly Instructions: -Horizontal Print: If your printer bed is large enough, you can print the "Horizontal Main Body Big Print" file twice, along with "Peg 10mm" five times and "Gem" two times. Next, glue the pegs into one of the main body pieces, then attach the second piece of the main body, and finally secure the gems in place. If your printer bed is small, print the "Horizontal Main Body Small Print" file twice instead, along with "Horizontal Main Body Small Print (1)" twice. -Vertical Print: Follow the same procedure as horizontal printing, but use the "Vertical......." files and "Peg 8mm" four times instead. One wise saying goes: one image is worth more than a thousand words. I've included an image that demonstrates how to build this prop - in the image, small pieces are represented printed vertically, but the process remains the same for all components. General Print Settings: -Layer Height: 0.2mm -Bottom Layers: 3 -Top Layers: 4 -Perimeters: 3 -Infill Percentage: 15% -No Supports Print the gem at a layer height of 0.1mm to achieve a smoother surface. PS: Before gluing everything together, ensure that the pieces align correctly. If they don't, use medium or fine sandpaper or a small file to clean the edges and meeting surfaces.
