Nicoleta Daniela Sofronie was born on February 12, 1988 in Constanța, Romania. She is a Romanian artistic gymnast with an impressive Olympic and European gold medal history as part of the team. Additionally, she won an Olympic silver medal on floor and secured the 2004 European all-around silver medal. This sculpture depicts one of several bronze busts located outside The School of Gymnastics in Deva, Romania. Each bust represents a Romanian athlete who competed since the 1978 Montreal Olympics. The series pays tribute to female artistic gymnasts' strength and success worldwide. Founded by Nadia Comaneci, The School of Gymnasts is now coached by Marta and Bela Karoly. Since 2003, it has been known as The Cetate Deva National Sports College, focusing on women's athletics. This object contributes to "Scan the World," a non-profit initiative launched by MyMiniFactory. It aims to create a digital archive of fully printable 3D sculptures and landmarks worldwide for public access at no cost. Scan the World is an open-source project driven by community efforts.
