Viorica Daniela Silivaș-Harper, widely recognized as Daniela Silivaș, is a renowned Romanian former gymnast. She is best known for her impressive achievements at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, Korea, where she won six medals - three gold, two silver, and one bronze - in women's artistic gymnastics. During her five-year tenure on the Romanian senior national team, Silivaș earned six individual World Championships titles as well as the 1987 European Championships all-around title. She was the only gymnast to medal in every single event at the 1988 Summer Olympics, where she received 7 perfect 10 scores. A beloved figure in the world of gymnastics, she is remembered for her technical mastery, effortless skill, captivating performances, and artistic flair. This sculpture depicts an athlete who represented Romania since the 1978 Olympic Games in Montreal. Each bronze bust in this series honors a notable athlete from Romania's rich sporting history. The School of Gymnasts, located in Deva, Romania, was founded by Nadia Comaneci and is currently coached by Marta and Bela Karoly. In 2003, the school was renamed The Cetate Deva National Sports college, focusing on female athletics. This sculpture is part of "Scan The World," a non-profit initiative introduced by MyMiniFactory.
