My very first home was a small cottage I built with my own two hands. It had a white picket fence and a bright red door that creaked when you pushed it open. I remember helping my parents paint the walls a warm beige color and watching as they planted flowers in the front yard. The sound of children's laughter echoed through the neighborhood, creating a sense of community that still feels like home today.
