DANIEL ‘S SPOOL HOLDER

DANIEL ‘S SPOOL HOLDER

I design this spool holder because I need a practical solution, something stable and low resistance that can increase my success rate with printing. At first, I wanted to make a spool holder entirely out of 3D printed parts. However, after cutting out the old spool case, I found it made a great base and didn't want to waste it, so I decided to design this spool holder instead. My printer only prints small things, so I used a joined design to connect these three parts together, which resulted in a stable enough structure. The convex part in the middle of the old spool case allows for the spool to be installed and fixed into position, rotating more steadily as well. The hole in the middle of the base at the bottom actually lets you put the filament directly into the 3D printer's top where you can place the holder. It might not work with all printers, but I tested it on my UP MINI and UP MINI 2 and it fit perfectly. I'm not sure if this design will work for all spools, so feel free to download and modify it yourself. I believe that as 3D printing technology continues to develop, we'll see more emphasis placed on creating useful things from waste materials.
