[NEW VERSION HERE: dancase A4-SFX - Fan Partition Standoffs v2.0]The thermal concept of the dancase a4 is simple, but often requires adjustment to improve performance. Note this was kinda thrown-together, so the Solidworks file is a bit messy. At least one future revision is planned (see improvements at bottom). This mod will partition the front and back case fans so that you can run a push-pull configuration without feeding the hot exhaust into the intake. The parts are named in the way that I use them (front-intake, rear-exhaust), but they can be flipped around.NOTE: the photos are of v1.0, but are similar to v1.1 (main difference is circular fan cutout.)These standoffs *should* be useable on short carpet, as they spread out the contact patch of the PC such that it won't sink into the threads, and the encased airways won't allow carpet to block the flow. The parts attach with the normal fan/rad mounting screws. Note that you should go easy on the torque when you install these, as it will reduce the number of engaged threads and may result in stripped threads. When printing, ensure that you enable supports "everywhere". Also, there is a pretty obvious "right side up" for printing, so be sure to print in that orientation.A few improvements are planned to make installation/use easier. - remove "wings" that cup the side panels, as these disable side panel removal- add screw passthroughs for the case screws - add location to mount v4.1 rubber feet (reduce slippage while maintaining partition)- add a 15mm height version- general aesthetic improvements
