Danalock V3 Rosette
thingiverse
A simple add-on for a Danalock V3 door lock. Unlike in US, the Danalock V3 is not sold with a rosette (one could call it a lock skirt) in Europe. The local representative claims it should be available as a spare part but I haven't found any seller yet. And anyhow - on the door I was installing the lock to, the original rosette would probably not be wide enough to cover the original lock fittings installation holes completely. I need the rosette (skirt) to extend 10mm away from the body of the lock. The original body is 60mm in diameter, the rosette is 80 (80.2 to be precise) and is 10 mm tall so it nicely covers both the lock's black end and installation plate and anything in its surrounding less than 10mm away perfectly. It is slightly conical in the inside to slide in without resistance yet to be tight around the lock body securely. It also sports a threaded hole in the bottom. If printed in fine resolution (0.1 or 0.15 layer) a functional thread is produced allowing a headless screw of M4 size to be screwed in and further fix the rosette in place firmly. In fact, the screw is not needed and the rosette nicely sits in place without further fixing but the hole itself is still needed: when rotated 180 degrees (from the bottom to the top of the lock) it exposes the tiny installation hole allowing the entire lock to be dismantled - something that was missing in version 1 of the thing and it gave me a lot of trouble de-installing the rosette from the lock. The original lock body has a slightly greenish tint however when the rosette was printed in metallic silver filament, both go nicely together. No supports needed for the entire print at all.
