Dan Wesson speedloader (push-button)
prusaprinters
Another ASG Dan Wesson speedloader, but unlike any I have seen so far, this doesn't require twisting! Just push it in until it snaps. No glue, springs or other stuff required, everything is printed.Tested with only with airsoft shells. They are modeled after .357 magnum, so it should work with it and .38 Special. But no guarantees as I can't test it."Training" cap has a hole for mechanism reset without unscrewing.[Update 3.10.2022] Made lock more aggressive to reduce round wobble, probably not compatible with earliest bodies. This is probably last update, I'm planning to make entirely new loader.Print SettingsRafts:NoSupports: NoResolution:0,15 Notes: This model is very sensitive to bad printing quality. All gaps are 0.15-0.2mm wide, which is lose enough for most printers, but zits an blobs may ruin it. Some sanding may be required.I tested it at 0.1mm and 0.15mm layer height, may work at higher, but haven't tested it I would suggest 0.1mm as for me it resulted in smoother walls and smaller zits.Body and lock is best printed solid, there's not much can be saved with infill. Shaft and caps can be printed with 30% infill.Post-PrintingStep 1: Quality controlRemove all zits and string you see on all parts.Make sure shaft fits nicely with the cap, should fit with little to no force. If doesn't fit start sanding the shaft, focus on surfaces, grooves have a little bigger gaps.Make sure shaft fits nicely with the lock, should fit with little to no force.Sand body's center hole a little at angle or use a drill bit(see the picture).Make sure cap screws onto the body, it might be a tight fit.Check if your rounds fit in body's chambers. Some rounds fit worse than others, identify worst rounds and check their rims. If you see any visible protrusions in rims, sand them off, so the rim becomes somewhat round. After that, start sanding chambers, until all rounds fit perfectly.Step 2: assemblyPush lock into the body narrower side down(reference the picture bellow). This should require a lot force of force, you may need to use a hammer or a vise. Once it snaps into the place, it should be able to twist with little force.Push shaft into the body, it should require some force and you'll know when done, there should be a snap. Push it back out, this should also require some force, this is actuating force you will need to disengage(plus friction between other parts. If it's to much force for your liking, sand shaft ring a little and try again, don't overdo this.Push shaft into place, until it snaps and screw cap in place. Push the shaft button all the way and make sure it moves lock out of the way and rounds can fall. You may need to shorten the cap stopper( tiny tooth on top of body). How to use:Unscrew cap, push shaft until it snaps, screw cap a little, look at the lock from below and make sure it doesn't block chambers.Load rounds, then screw the cap all the way.Push the loader into cylinder holding the gun down and rounds should fall freely into cylinder.
