Dan's Part Cabinet
pinshape
A compact parts storage cabinet that barely fits on my build platform when using a 15-line brim is a challenge to work with. The top of the drawers isn't sealed off, which has its advantages - it's easier to slice prints because layer change occurs at the same spot, resulting in nicer overall prints. However, this means small flat parts like washers and nuts can slip through when the cabinet isn't kept upright. To prevent this, I've stuck some magnetic tape to the bottom of the drawers, a clever idea that my mom came up with. I've also considered sticking magnetic tape to the back of the cabinet and the drawers themselves so they won't fall out. I'd love to see how others have addressed this issue in their prints - please share your makes! Printer Settings: - Brand: RepRap - Printer: P3Steel - Rafts: No - Supports: No - Resolution: 0.3mm - Notes: * 0.4mm nozzle. * 0.8mm shell thickness. * 1.6mm bottom thickness. * 15-line brim used for slicing prints with Cura.
