The Dan River Net Impressed Jar is a striking artifact discovered at the Sharp site in Rockingham County, North Carolina. Dated to the Late Woodland period specifically within the Dan River phase spanning from AD 1200-1450, this ceramic piece showcases exceptional craftsmanship. Measuring 17.9 cm in height and 16.0 cm in diameter, the jar's dimensions reflect its purpose as a functional vessel. The North Carolina Archaeological Collection, housed in the Research Laboratories of Archaeology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, catalogues the jar with the number 2271a45.
