Dan Clark Audio Aeon Open X headband mount
thingiverse
The broken piece that held the leather headband together with the metal wires completely disintegrated, prompting me to create a replacement that would seamlessly integrate into the system. To repair this critical component, I employed heat-pressed inserts available on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077CL322T/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1. These inserts were secured in place using an M3 screw that provides the necessary stability. To ensure a snug fit, I noticed that some PTFT tubing was used to facilitate sliding movement while these inserts provided the essential pressure to keep them firmly in place. It is crucial to position these inserts directly inline with the screw to maintain even pressure throughout the mount.
