DAN A4-SFX USB C Mod Clip
thingiverse
This modification is specifically designed for the DAN A4-SFX computer case, allowing you to swap out the USB 3.0 Type A connector for a more advanced USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type C connector. I employed the Lian-Li PW-IC01NH45 cable (http://bit.ly/2fvjwCV), which required some modification - I had to cut off the screw holes, as evident in one of the accompanying images. To initiate the process, unscrew and remove the existing Type A connector. Next, insert the clip into the pre-existing hole from the inside. Then, slide the Type C cable into the clip until it reaches the outer panel (consult the images for a clearer understanding). The cable fit snugly enough that I was able to connect devices without it pushing back out. For added security, you could use hot glue or a similar material to secure the cable within the clip. It's worth noting that printing this modification vertically would not require support material, but the clips might break off easily due to flexing in the same plane as the layers. I opted for a horizontal print orientation, which placed the plane of motion perpendicular to the layer plane, resulting in a stronger build.
