Dan 10 watch
thingiverse
A personalized watch toy for Dan's 4-year-old features a rotating dial with a 10-step clicky ratchet mechanism, inspired by their love for Ben 10 cartoons. This DIY project requires various materials such as 2mm fluorescent green transparent acrylic for the disk, 2mm black acrylic for triangle and main plates, and 3mm green or black acrylic for spacers. Other materials include 4mm and 3mm acrylic rod pins, a small tie-wrap, and wide velcro (2" used). The toy is assembled using an easy vector cutting process, with the Corel Draw file providing a layer-by-layer assembly guide and separate cutting sheets for each color. To assemble, attach four spacers with locating pins to the center plate, followed by the back plate. Sew and glue velcro onto the center plate and attach it to the tie-wrap stoppers, creating a one-way ratchet mechanism. Finally, add the triangular plates on top for a neat dome appearance. The design offers room for improvement with engraved lines on the triangle plates.
