You all know that the geometry of Original Prusa i3 MK2 is quite tricky. When you have a perfectly flat and square frame, you'd want to keep it level for as long as possible! However, if you move the printer around, you risk warping the XY frame and compromising your XYZ calibration. I've designed this reinforcement plate with two primary objectives in mind: - To add stiffness to the XY frame and maintain its horizontal alignment forever. - To dampen vibrations using my custom squash ball feet. Here's what I came up with: it works remarkably well, and all you need to do is: - Cut a wooden base following the template (or better yet, use a CNC machine like I did). - Secure the supports in place with four screws. - Attach the dampeners to the bottom side – you can find the design on Thingiverse under #2450161. - Place your printer on the supports and secure it with four zip ties. That's it! With this setup, your frame will remain perfectly level, and your printer will be nice and stable.
