Damixa "MaxARC" (tm) Cantilever design kitchen mixer. Articulated arms that hold the upper fixture level at all positions. Allows more reach than a conventional fixture of similar size. Twin arms have an angle limit stop for backwards travel to avoid interference with mixture control. Only one of the twin arms is used for water flow, thus less sealed joints are needed. Twin arms can be identical to help with production costs. The non-sealing arm can be designed solely for strength without any compromise for sealing. Rotating end piece to allow fountain drinking. This rotation has a limit stop in either direction so that the water does not fall back on the fixture, for a more sanitary design. This angle of rotation also incorporates a water volume/flow restriction, so that if main flow is too high it will restrict it to a low drinking fountain level. The flow restriction should probably start at about 45 degree angle of rotation to avoid water spray outside of the sink area. These 2 features, the rotation limit and the flow limit further refine the original ARC design. If you look at any dedicated drinking fountain the water is directed out at an angle to avoid splashing water back onto the fixture and thus minimizing unsanitary conditions. Additionally the full output of a normal kitchen fixture will be getting the ceiling wet if the flow is accidentally turned up while the nozzle is pointed upwards. The articulated arms maintain the ARC's wide spray coverage area, and keeping the upper fixture level is what allows the rotation/flow limit features to be accomplished. Trying to incorporate these features in the original ARC design might be problematic due to the nature of its designed motion. This design is by no means finalized, and the 3 innovative features, articulated arm, rotation, and flow limits, could be applied to any design line. One of the first things I would look at would be the ring that goes around the main body. This sort of disturbs the clean line of the main body and maybe could be eliminated if the twin arm junction at the body flowed more directly into the body. Thought about enclosing the dual arm mechanism inside one arm but this would mean more parts and more complexity. (Update 11-29, added a variation of the design, 10-B, eliminated the ring around the main body and rounded the back of the upper fixture) (Note the file numbers don't match with the Entry numbers on GrabCad due to models that were never downloaded)
