(Update, decided to go with the curved elbow. Also trying a straight main tube variation. Additional screenshots attached.) Trying to get a little closer to the existing Arc design. Put a little curve in the main arm to reach over large pots or buckets and to soften the look a little. This one is still in the thinking stages with the 2 different elbow treatments, the end result will have only one elbow style. Lexan is going to be better than tempered glass with this design. The main curved pipe has a section change at the joints because the outer diameter is flush unlike the previous 2 designs. That section step will be a weak point that glass may not hold up to. The main tube is one piece of Lexan, the other colored pieces are all trim shells with polished SS or chrome underneath. This may be problematic using clear plastic. If the trim pieces are not well sealed it's going to show dirt underneath. It might be better to leave only the main tube clear and have all the rest of the trim opaque. Although part of the look that's being pursued is to have the semi-clear plastic. Maybe if it was permanently sealed/bonded, but then this would prevent changeable colors like with the existing design. This point might already be mute though because with this many colored parts it might be too problematic to change everything. Would like to limit the movement a little bit compared to the existing design, thinking the tube that the nozzle is fastened to should remain horizontal. Also this is a 2 position nozzle, popped out is spray, popped in is stream. Once again the clear main tube will lend a visual appeal with running water, although when water is running in a clear tube it is not that visible if there's no air bubbles. Wondering if there's a way to introduce bubbles upstream? Maybe a small orifice with a one way valve positioned to allow the flow force to draw air? Or maybe not if it's going to affect the price point, just guessing this design is already at the high end. This design does attempt to use some existing parts so there may be some cost savings there.
