Damaged Starship Cargo PodThe stars won't wait, nor will the cargo inbound to your customers. Intermodel Cargo Pods are found on every planet in the populated universe and multiverse (universal quantum wave function, anyone?). It's how products are shipped throughout the endless multitudes of galaxies. Affixed by standard mounting points on the outside of the long-haul starships, they survive the plunges through “Curvet” space without stasis. Cheap shipping for the masses.In star systems without ground-based landers, Cargo Pods are dropped through the atmosphere with ablative cargo drop ends mounted to them. That allows them to survive the heat of reentry; then, a parachute system keeps the Cargo Pod from becoming a molten lump of metal in the ground.In transit emergencies or during military deployments, the “Cargo Pod Floor Connection” has been used with one “Cargo Pod Double” and two “Cargo Pod Singles" to construct orbital habitation.
