Dallmer Orio replacement for threaded sleeve
thingiverse
I designed this section as the original component was faulty, causing my shower drain (Dallmer Orio) to leak water. I attempted to acquire an OEM replacement, but the newer sold parts didn't fit, so I decided to create a custom replacement in OpenSCAD. A huge thank you goes out to Dan Kirshner for his outstanding thread library - otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to produce a fully functional replacement part. You can access it here: http://dkprojects.net/openscad-threads/ After several iterations to determine the ideal dimensions for a snug fit, I arrived at a final design that functions flawlessly now for me. It can be installed just like an OEM part, and my shower no longer leaks water. Additionally, the color can be selected as desired. Since there appear to be multiple variations of these shower drains available, I've included the OpenSCAD file for customization. Perhaps your part is also slightly different than mine. The component needs to withstand some tension, and due to the likely hot water, I chose to print it in PETG. PLA could soften if exposed to hot water and then become loose again.
