Daisy 880 Winchester 1977 Buffer Tube Adapter

This is an adapter for the Daisy 880 and Winchester 1977XS that allows the attachment of a AR-15/M4 buffer tube. The larger receiver screws are 5mm so 5mm hot set inserts are used for that interface. The other receiver screws will install without modification. The buffer threads should be chased with a 1-3/16"-16 tap. The treads are not steel or aluminum so the cheapest tap you can find will work. If that is not an option a buffer tube can be used to chase the treads but will be more work. Whether using a tap or buffer be careful when starting. It is easy to cross thread the part. Go slow and remove the tap/buffer often to clean the treads. I recommend threading the handle bolt hole 1/4"-20 rather than 1/4"-28. The coarse threads live longer in printed parts. Have fun!
