These are updated moderators for Daisy Air Rifles. There are four different configurations, large and small diameter, and long and short (i.e. small diameter: short and long, large diameter: short and long). From smallest to largest I named them Spike, 4pt, 8pt and 12pt. I added thin shroud versions (suffixed TS) for use with 1mm wall thickness carbon fiber tube/shrouds. I recommend printing in ABS or ASA. I also recommend an acetone vapor treatment for the muzzle adapter because all the torsion it experiences in the print layer plane. I printed all parts without supports. I used skirt bed for the short parts and a brim on the taller parts. Use a torch lighter to quickly flame any string, hairs, etc.... that maybe in the baffles from printing. Use a long semi-circular needle file to remove any leftover print artifacts. Next I cut the felt 14.5 cm wide for the longer version and 80mm wide for the short version. I used M2.6X5mm screw to screw the shroud and endcaps together. Once it is fully assembled use a block of wood to remove the current front sight. Slide it over the top of the barrel quickly to hit the front sight and pop it off. It doesn't take a whole lot of force and I have never broke one doing that. Using a tap thread the muzzle adapter small holes to M4. Install the muzzle adapter over the barrel and shroud. Install M4-0.7 x 6mm set screws in the treaded holes. These will work for 177 through 25 caliber. For 177 and 22 caliber start with the smaller bore end cap. If accuracy problems or clipping occur switch to the larger bore endcap. EDIT: 04/08/2023 Added core models for each configuration with no threads. The core holes are sized to be tapped M20-1.5 for use with the metal muzzle adapter. Technical drawings of the metal muzzle adapter were also loaded.
