The Diamond DA-20, a two-seat low-wing tricycle landing gear aircraft, serves as both flight training and personal air travel vehicle. Initially, it was equipped with a Rotax engine, but later versions featured the Continental O-240-B power unit. The Katana competes with the Cessna 150 and offers similar functionality. Made from composites, it boasts a higher cruising speed than its rival. Its bubble canopy ensures excellent visibility for pilots; however, cockpit temperatures may be higher due to greenhouse effect. Ventilation on either side of the canopy addresses this issue. The Katana's glide ratio of 11:1 or 14:1 trumps Cessna 150's 7:1 ratio. This aircraft also offers an Aspen Avionics glass cockpit as a primary feature and is built with animatable parts, including the propeller, flaps, ailerons, elevators, rudder, and canopy. The cockpit features a glass instrument panel resembling the Aspen glass cockpit. Multiple download formats are available for immediate access.
