Daimond DA-20 Katana V17 3D model
cgtrader
The Diamond DA-20 is a two-seat, low-wing tricycle gear aircraft designed for flight training and personal travel. Initially powered by Rotax engines, later models switched to Continental O-240-B power units. The Katana competes with the Cessna 150 but boasts a higher cruising speed, thanks to composite construction and a bubble canopy that offers superior visibility for pilots. However, cockpit temperatures may be higher due to the greenhouse effect of the canopy; ventilation options help mitigate this issue. Katana models boast glide ratios of 11:1 or 14:1, outperforming Cessna 150's 7:1 ratio. Aspen Avionics glass cockpit is a primary feature in the Katana. The model is highly detailed with animatable parts like propeller, flaps, ailerons, elevators, rudder, and canopy. It also features a glass instrument panel similar to the Aspen glass cockpit.
