cgtrader
The Diamond DA-20 is a dual-seat low-wing aircraft designed for flight training and personal air travel, initially powered by Rotax engines but later using Continental O-240-B units. Competing with the Cessna 150, it boasts composite construction, higher cruising speeds, and a bubble canopy offering excellent visibility. However, cabin temperatures might rise due to the greenhouse effect of the canopy; this issue is addressed by ventilation on either side. The aircraft has a glide ratio of 11:1 or 14:1 (depending on model), outperforming the Cessna 150's 7:1 ratio. Furthermore, it offers an Aspen Avionics glass cockpit as a primary feature and features numerous animatable parts like propeller, flaps, ailerons, elevators, rudder, and canopy. The cockpit also has a glass instrument panel similar to the Aspen glass cockpit. This highly detailed model is available for download in various formats.
