The Diamond DA-20 is a dual-seat, low-wing aircraft designed for flight training and personal travel; initially powered by Rotax engines but later switched to Continental O-240-B. As a competitor to the Cessna 150, it features composite construction and a higher cruising speed, along with a bubble canopy for enhanced visibility. However, cockpit temperature may be an issue due to the greenhouse effect of the canopy. Proper ventilation helps alleviate this problem. With glide ratios of 11:1 or 14:1 (depending on model), and an Aspen Avionics glass cockpit option, the Katana outperforms the Cessna 150. This highly detailed, animatable model includes a glass instrument panel similar to the Aspen glass cockpit and is available in multiple formats for download.
