The Diamond DA-20 is a dual-seat low wing aircraft designed for flight training and personal travel, initially powered by Rotax engines but later upgraded to Continental O-240-B. The Katana, its successor, competes with the Cessna 150, boasting higher cruising speed, composite construction, and a bubble canopy for enhanced visibility. However, cockpit temperature may rise due to the greenhouse effect of the canopy; ventilation is available on both sides of the canopy to mitigate this issue. The Katana also outperforms the Cessna 150 in glide ratio (11:1 or 14:1 vs 7:1) and features an optional Aspen Avionics glass cockpit. This highly detailed model is fully textured, animatable, and includes a glass instrument panel. It's available for immediate download in various formats.
