The Diamond DA-20 is a two-seat low-wing tricycle landing gear aircraft designed for flight training and personal air travel, initially equipped with a Rotax engine but later featuring the Continental O-240-B powerplant. Its successor, the Katana, competes with the Cessna 150 while offering higher cruising speed, better visibility through its bubble canopy (which may cause increased cockpit temperature), and improved ventilation options.
