The Diamond DA-20 is a two-seat low-wing aircraft designed for flight training and personal air travel, featuring a tricycle landing gear. Initially powered by Rotax engines, later models used Continental O-240-B engines. The Katana aims to compete with the Cessna 150 but offers a higher cruising speed, better visibility through its bubble canopy (which may cause elevated cockpit temperatures), and improved glide ratio of 11:1 or 14:1 compared to the Cessna's 7:1. Additionally, it features an Aspen Avionics glass cockpit as a primary element. This highly detailed model includes animatable parts such as the propeller, flaps, ailerons, elevators, rudder, and canopy, along with a glass instrument panel similar to the Aspen glass cockpit.
