DailyEarring70: Diamond holder cube (4x8mm)
thingiverse
Today, 100 clear wedding decoration "diamonds" from eBay arrived; they appear even better than their product images suggest. Initially, I planned to color the diamonds' back in a metal hue like the reflective aluminum coating on my green ones. However, I am now considering testing different colors to see if they look just as nice and not plastic-y as the photos implied. The Prologue and DailyEarrings can be found at www.wap.cc and thingiverse.com/thing:7120. In the future, I might make improvements to this file to enhance it further. Printing instructions are as follows: print the stone holder (with options of "standing" or "laying") on an UP pp3dp. Although there's no information on other printers, you can still attempt it due to its small size. Ensure sufficient support/raft during printing to avoid losing pieces. Next, print the earring loop box at 110-120% scale for better fitting. The diamonds will clip into the holder similar to the snake diamond holder, but exercise caution as you need to bend it harder for a snug fit. Once three diamonds are in place, snap the holder box in - a tricky step, but manageable with care.
