Daily Equation #7 - |x^(5/3) + y^(5/3)| = a
thingiverse
On Day 7 of showcasing printable equations, we explore further the series |x^b + y^c| = a (as seen in Days 2 and 6). Today's equation features b = c = 5/3, resulting in a curve that bends outward towards a circular shape. Previous examples included b=c=1 for a diamond and b=c=2/3 with curved edges. With a = 678 (for a length and height of 100mm), the range of x is -50 to 50, and files print without support. As always, one equation per day will be posted until interest wanes or new suggestions are made.
With this file you will be able to print Daily Equation #7 - |x^(5/3) + y^(5/3)| = a with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Daily Equation #7 - |x^(5/3) + y^(5/3)| = a.
