Check out the daily earring project at #1: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7120. AE received pirate-inspired earrings from me after she started knitting a few years ago. This is revision 2, but I didn't initially plan on creating daily models, so the files are messy. Print quality varies on UP!, with back printing providing better results but being harder to remove and standing offering more stability. As for PP3DP UP!, choose "print unsolid model" due to some errors or fix the STL file. A 45/45 support angle makes it harder to remove but reduces drooping. The earrings work well with various layer thicknesses and speeds, with .25/.normal being a good balance of detail and speed.
