Dahua SD29204UE Mini PTZ Wall Mount
thingiverse
I created a custom low-profile wall mount for my Dahua indoor PTZ camera since I couldn't find one that fit my needs. As an indoor camera, I knew I needed to design the mount to securely attach to drywall using Hillman "Wall Dog" screws. To ensure stability and durability, I chose ABS as the material. Based on personal experience, I strongly advise against using PLA for this type of project. My initial attempts with PLA mounts resulted in warping due to the heat generated by the camera, even when used indoors. The metal mounting plate can become extremely hot from the camera's heat transfer, which exacerbates the issue. To provide a neat and organized installation, I designed the mount to be hollow inside, concealing all connectors and cords. The camera mounting bracket is positioned to align perfectly with the printed holes, ensuring a secure fit. I used the included screws provided by the camera manufacturer, which worked seamlessly into the printed holes, resulting in a very solid structure. This design should also accommodate other mini PTZ Dahua models, although I haven't tested it on them yet. If you try this mount on different models, please share your experience and the model numbers for reference.
