Dahlia, Pink

I shot this close-up of a pink dahlia in Livermore, California, using my Canon SX150. I deliberately made the background blurry to emphasize the flower's intricate details. Alternatively, I could have focused on the background and sacrificed some of the flower's sharpness. The Canon performed better than my Sony Infinity, thanks to its superior focusing capabilities, image stabilization, and smaller sensor chip, which resulted in a shallower depth of field. However, the Canon was slower between shots compared to the Sony.
