Dagger Stand
thingiverse
I was thrilled to receive a replica of Sting, the iconic Elven Dagger/Sword from The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, on my birthday. Determined to create a stand that perfectly matched this legendary theme, I designed one from scratch. The name 'Sting' is elegantly inscribed on the base in the fictional Elvish writing system, Tengwar. Delicate vines are skillfully woven along both legs, echoing the intricate designs found on Sting and other Elvish artifacts. While this stand was specifically tailored to fit my replica dagger, I've also included a range of files that can be adapted for similar-sized daggers/knives. Here are the key dimensions: • The distance between the legs measures 115mm (11.5cm or approximately 4.5 inches). • The curved tops of the legs are precision-designed to securely hold handles with diameters around 18.5mm. • The opening for the sheath holder is approximately 30mm in diameter, allowing for a snug fit and added stability.
