Dagger & Sabre - Handpainted vs PBR (Blood)

Very simple, basic dagger & sabre I made in May 2019 to experiment with handpainted texturing in 3DCoat on non-organic models, then used to start learning Substance Painter a bit & experiment with PBR, more realistic texturing in that summer :) Made a version where the PBR blades have blood and one where there’s none; this one is the “Blood Edition” x). Based on the basic/simplistic weapons I’ve drawn for two pirate characters in my personal stories project, and focused on texturing experimentation/practice rather than optimisation ~ Lots to learn, still :P Software used: Modelled & Unwrapped in Maya, and textured in 3DCoat (handpainted stylised version) and Substance Painter (PBR version)!
