thingiverse
I utilized an Arduino and assorted NeoPixel strips, sticks, and matrices as a replacement for the AlexLED kit. Consequently, I crafted a quick 3D-printed cover and diffuser for DIY enthusiasts opting out of the standard heart-beat kit. I tested these components on my ongoing project and thought they were worth sharing. Designed to complement the https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:470882 model, these creations require scaling in your slicer (I employ Cura) to match the dimensions of your ear cups according to Bendinger's design. Print Settings: Printer: WanHao Duplicator i3 Rafts: None Supports: None Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 100% Design Methodology This creation was built hastily; I rapidly drew the heart-beat/pulse pattern, saved it as an SVG file, imported it into 123d Design, created a disc, and performed minor resizing to slice out the shape from the disc. The diffuser's design added a new layer, enabling it to sit snugly behind the cover, which directly slots onto it. I printed the heart/pulse beat disc in black PLA 1.75mm and the diffuser in transparent PLA 1.75mm.
