Daemon Prince Behemoth

Summary: Chaos Daemon Prince Behemoth Chaos was tamed when this behemoth was reduced to 100k faces in just three hours. The model stands at approximately 3.75 inches tall with a wing span of about 4.5 inches. This massive creature needs full support to hold its shape, especially since printing it vertically would result in failed wings - but you may get different results. A separate support model is included, and the final test model was printed using Simplify3D as the slicer. However, there are some issues with the carapace on the back of the neck and the gauntlet on the right hand; at times it prints hollow or spotty despite internal models indicating no problems - hidden geometry may be to blame or scaling down could have caused these issues. To fix this, I've included separate STL files for the gauntlet and carapace. Print them after the model is complete and glue them on - this will make the missing elements look like rotten flesh and bone structure. The picture shows Behemoth wearing a crown that's truncated in the model; it won't print at this scale anyway. I'll add some horns or spikes from my bits bin to complete the look - but you can try printing the full crown on Thingiverse if you want. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the original source of the chaos base, so if anyone recognizes it please let me know so I can give credit where it's due. In the end, I swapped out the scorpion tail for a metal GW piece from my Tyranid bits bin; it works great as a proxy model for Be'lakor. The model was printed with green and red Prntrbot PLA and black and white Hatchbox PLA. The base size is 60mm.
