I significantly thickened the Y carriers after realizing that the original parts were too thin and resulted in some backlash during printing. This change eliminated the backlash and now the prints can be done flat on the bed without any supports. To enhance the Daemon's performance, I made some adjustments to its two main X gantry components: 1) The hole sizes for the idlers were initially designed for M4 screws but their heads kept interfering with the rods. To resolve this issue, I reduced the hole size for the idlers to accommodate a M3 hexagon screw instead. 2) The idlers were experiencing some friction against the plastic, so I increased the clearance around them to minimize any potential issues. 3) In my case, the gantry was exerting too much pressure on the side rods, causing them to separate. To address this problem, I inserted a 4 mm spacing between the two parts and made the motor's screws adjustable. This design allows for a slight adjustability in the X gantry's length, ensuring it remains aligned with the Y rods even if the print is slightly off by a few millimeters.
