Daedroth

Close shut the jaws of Oblivion!! This was a fun project of experimenting with some of Blender's features that I otherwise don't use that much. Oblivion was such an amazing game, and my trusty Daedroth was always by my side. I came across this great Daedroth model which was rigged and textured, although the mesh itself was low poly. In Blender, I took the low poly model and did a good amount of surface smoothing and a bit of sculpting. Then I used the model's texture to create a displacement map so that the great texture of the Daedroth's skin will render in 3D. Lastly, I used the model's rigged skeleton to try a variety of classic Daedroth poses.
