Daedric Shield from Skyrim: A Print Adventure Begins! I'm excited to start with file 1 and work my way through all 9 files, taking in every detail of this incredible shield. Files 1-3 make up the right outside edge, while files 4-6 form the central structure, and files 7-9 complete the left outside section. Printing at normal speeds would require approximately 340,673 mm of filament and around 46 hours, but I've been experimenting with slowing down my prints by 10-17% to achieve even higher print quality. I'm in no rush, enjoying the process as much as the end result! To give you a better understanding of this project's scale, I've included the original file for your review. Take a closer look and see if it aligns with your interests! I'll be sharing an update by mid-March on how my print is progressing. UPDATE: *Almost there!* I've made great progress on printing the Daedric Shield, but I did encounter a minor issue - the handle seems a bit too small. It appears that the Daedra have tiny hands! If you're planning to display this shield as a wall decoration, this won't be an issue, but if you're looking for a functional grip, I might consider enlarging the handle and reconfiguring the pieces. Stay tuned for further updates on my print adventure!
