Daddy's Toy Tank

Daddy's Toy Tank

thingiverse

When I was a kid, many years ago, I stumbled upon a toy tank my dad had made - when HE was a kid - from layers of wood cut out with a scroll saw and glued together. The turret and barrel were turned on a lathe. It was hollow so it could be used to store small trinkets, and the turret was designed to turn. I wanted to pay tribute to him by making a 21st Century version, and here it is. The bigger tank in the picture is the original my dad made. It's probably about 85 years old! In the original scale, a piece of 1/8" tubing makes a far better barrel than 3d printing. This should work really well at any size.
