My grandfather's Explorer post badge. Steps Tinkering with OpenSCAD requires some skill, but anyone can master it using these easy instructions. 1. Click "Edit" in the toolbar. 2. Create a new project by clicking "File," then "New." 3. Set up your workplane by selecting the "Create Plane" tool and entering your desired coordinates for width, length, height, origin x y z or simply let the default be automatically calculated. 4. Once you have created your new workplane click the "+" sign located at bottom left corner above workspace window - this adds a new object which will become basis for whatever project comes next! 5. Click and drag lines over base plane to define outer edge boundaries using either direct mouse control (hold down shift key) or press space bar twice while clicking inside any line segment. You'll notice that as you create each line it turns yellow after being finished being edited by dragging ends until desired form is achieved – don’t worry about how much overlap exists between shapes since OpenSCAD can deal with lots redundancy easily without complaint; what really matters though was last shape turned completely gold so all changes made after point doesn't alter anything. As your first three-dimension project takes shape notice small triangles indicating corners turning upwards into new face; press tab while dragging one corner slightly off grid plane towards right will create extra line automatically drawn between those two spots – voila, surface begins growing outward again until it stops changing based solely user inputs!
