Dactyl ManuForm Pico Keyboard

I'm currently developing a miniature keyboard inspired by the Dactyl Manuform design. This project is a scaled-down version of the original, tailored for those who prefer compact keyboards or need a smaller layout for their workspace. The goal is to create an ergonomic and efficient typing experience in a more condensed form factor. The mini-keyboard is built around a 40% layout, similar to other compact keyboard designs. This layout has been chosen to balance comfort and functionality while minimizing the overall size of the keyboard. It features a split design with two halves that can be separated for easier carrying or storage. The build process involves sourcing components from suppliers and assembling them into the desired configuration. This includes soldering switches, installing keycaps, and attaching the necessary cables. I'm aiming to create a durable and long-lasting product that meets the needs of users who require a smaller keyboard solution. Some challenges faced during this project include finding suitable components for the 40% layout and ensuring compatibility with various operating systems. However, these issues are being addressed through research and testing to guarantee a smooth user experience. The mini-keyboard is designed to cater to individuals who need a compact typing solution or prefer a more minimalist approach to their workspace. Its development aims to provide an ergonomic and efficient typing experience in a smaller form factor.
