Dactyl Keyboard Wrist Rest
thingiverse
After building a Dactyl keyboard, I discovered that I needed wrist rests to type comfortably on it. Adereth offers a model, but its dimensions didn't quite meet my expectations, and the SCAD file was created from Clojure code, which made it illegible to me. So, I designed my own wrist rest straight in SCAD. They're dimensioned with Kinesis wrist pads in mind, as I had some on hand, which are the black pads you can see on them in the pictures. I set the height to a level that feels comfortable for me, but you may prefer something different. Under the legs of my design, there are indents for adding little rubber feet, as seen in the pictures, to improve grip on the table surface and prevent sliding around. Every aspect of this wrist rest is parameterized and customizable.
