DAC or Headphone Amp Stand

DAC or Headphone Amp Stand

This is a printable shelf for getting your DAC, or other gear off the surface of your desk, and up a little bit so that it is easier to use controls like volume.

I used this to elevate my DAC so I could use the knob comfortably, but I also paired it with a Switch Tray which routes the various cables underneath the shelf. The width of the shelf is matched for that tray.

The width of the shelf should accommodate many DACs, headphone amps, and the like. Since printing a full 240x205mm shelf can be time consuming as a "one-size-fits-all", I've included a shorter 160mm shelf which fits equipment that isn't quite as deep.

This will not print on smaller printers such as the Prusa Mini. The legs and shelves are sized for the 250mm build width of the Prusa MK3(S).

Print instructions

To Print:

Print a Shelf

Print 2 Legs

(Optional) Stick rubber feet on the bottom of the legs to avoid sliding. 3 per leg.

Recommended Material/Settings:

PETG

0.2mm Layer Height

15% Grid, 4 Perimeters

4 Bottom, 5 Top Solid Layers

Infill can probably go down to 5-10%, but I haven't tested it. The infill is really there to prevent sag of the surface layers, while the bracing prevents flex.

PETG is recommended to keep warping/curling to a minimum with this model, and because some DACs can get quite warm.

Shelf Depth Recommendations:
160mm Shelf:

SMSL SU-8, SU-9, M200

Topping DX7 Pro, D90, D30, E30, D10(s), D50s, A50s, L30, DX3 Pro

205mm Shelf:

Benchmark DAC3

Matrix Audio Mini-i 3

Mytek Brooklin DAC+†, Liberty DAC

SMSL M400†

Topping DX7s, D70

† - Feet may or may not be in the right place for the shelf.

Don’t Fit:

Matrix Audio Element Series

Mytek Manhattan DAC II
