I'm running Rune Audio on my Raspberry Pi 1B+, paired with an older Rpi DAC (Sabre ES9023) that's been repurposed for my DAC. Everything functions seamlessly with this setup. To secure the electronics, you'd typically use a few nylon screws to attach them to their support structure. Enjoy the music!
