Da Vinci's Cryptex

The term "cryptex" is a novel creation by Dan Brown in his 2003 book, The Da Vinci Code, representing a portable vault for concealing secret messages. Derived from the words 'cryptology' and 'codex', this device aptly utilizes cryptological science to safeguard information within its scroll or codex (p.199). In 2004, Justin Kirk Nevins manufactured the first physical cryptex. Inspired, I decided to model and assemble it without the exact dimensions, relying solely on online images; enjoy the result!
