When I purchased my 3D printer, I also bought several spools of filament. Most of these spools came with an internal component that housed the NFC tag, but one was a refill package without this tag holder. To avoid constantly replacing the tag holder whenever I wanted to switch spools, I decided to design and print a custom tag holder for that particular refill spool. The accuracy of your printer's printing process may require you to slightly file down the internal component to ensure it fits snugly within the outer part.
